3.0 out of 5 stars Is this suitable for kids? 19 Sept. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have a 10 year old mine craft mad son who was desperate to read this book. I thought I would just check this was suitable as no age recommendations were available.

Last chapter mentioned sex abuse so alarm bells started ringing. Whilst any unpleasant scenes were implied rather than described, I am not comfortable for him to read it just yet.

Will let you make up your own minds but personally think this is suitable for older kids only.

On the plus side I now know a lot more about mine craft!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good 10 July 2013

With many references to the game it`s based on, Cubeworld is an amazingly intricate story. Great Yogscast references (yes it was THAT Simon) I would recommend this to any Minecraft player.

Are you a ten year old boy who is addicted to Minecraft and wont stop playing 'till the dead of night ?
then this book is for you. If your a 50 year old man who likes to play bingo ... mabye not.

This book is about a man named Marko who is haunted by Zombies Skeletons and killer Cucumbers.
( If your a minecraft player youl know this is called a Creeper .)

My opinion is that this book is very well writen with lots of humour but if I were you I Would not recommend giving it to young children beacause there are a few ... words that are not very nice.

My favourite part was when he was trapped in the cave with the killer cucumbers and it was soooo funny it made me LOL!!!!! I certainly recommend reading this book. I'd certainly read the authors work any time.

My least favourite part was when he had the flashbacks of reality. I couldn't tell that it was a flashback because
the words sort of blended in with the other words . ( By that I meant i couldn't tell if he was in the cube world or
reality

2.0 out of 5 stars Not suitable for children 1 Feb. 2014
By MISS P.
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Bought this for my 11 yr old son. Storyline NOT appropriate. Luckily I had been reading it to him before bed so have been able to censor. Sexual abuse and violence woven through the story as well as a lot of swear words.

Shame because the minecraft bits are very good and clever.

4.0 out of 5 stars Amazing. Buy it. 27 Dec. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book was amazing & I will be reading it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and...you get my point.
Every twist and turn gripped me so much that I couldn't stop, couldn't put it down. It's extremely exciting, and the only bad point is that there is a couple of small swear words, so if you are reading this to small kids, you may want to blank those out.
If you are looking for a book full of Minecraft, adventure and slight (very slight) horror, then this is the book for you. It's definitely a very good one to buy-plus it's good value too!
