Beneath Bruce Garrett's (Nick Frost) shabby, overweight exterior, the passionate beating heart of a salsa king lays dormant. Only one woman, his smart, funny and gorgeous new boss Julia (Rashida Jones), can reignite his Latin fire. But she‚s way out of his league, and with expert lothario and alpha-male office nemesis Drew (Chris O‚Dowd) in rampant pursuit, can Bruce‚s loyal sister (Olivia Colman), childhood dance mentor (Ian McShane), and crazy new amateur salsa pal (Kayvan Novak) help him unshackle his dancing beast, regain his long lost fury and claim the love of his life?

This film is a great feel good romantic comedy. This is what actor Nick Frost does best, of course. Nick plays Bruce, an average guy. His new boss is an attractive woman whom he wants to impress. When he finds out her passion for Salsa dancing, he decides to dust off his dancing shoes and get back into the Salsa world that he turned his back on 25 years before. The result is a glorious feel good movie.

I normally like Nick Frost films, but this one was special because it contained some glimpse into the Salsa world. I recognised quite a few of the incidental characters in the dance scenes, who are all big names in the Salsa dance world. As a Salsa dance enthusiast this made it even more interesting.

If you have liked any previous Nick Frost film, then most likely you will like this one, whether or not you are into Salsa dancing.

Okay, it may be a bit of a cliche and we all know what will happen but it didn't stop me from loving this movie. It had heart -il corazon! I loved the gradual confidence building and certainly the music, the dancing etc. It was funny, sweet, hot and really worth watching. Had my feet tapping and wanting to get up there to dance at every move.

Nick Frost plays a the nice guy who chases a girl he thinks is out of his league. It's a familiar story but there are some nice comedy moments, especially in his encounters with his office love rival, Chris O'Dowd and from his camp dance class buddy, salsa addict, Bejan. Not a comedy classic but nicely put together with a few laugh out loud moments.

This is one of the BEST, happy, feel-good movies I have seen in a while. Not a single boring second throughout the entire thing. The cast couldn't have been chosen better as they were all extremely engaging and hilarious the whole time. Brilliant, just brilliant.
I saw the movie with my husband and we were left with this incredibly happy feeling. Both so bubbly and laughing the entire way home. Can't wait for it to be released on DVD. Thank you for this movie: ray of sunshine, joy and lots of giggles :)

Nick Frost plays an underdog who was a good Salsa Dancer as a child but was put off by a group of thugs who made him lose interest in it. Fast forward twenty five years and he discovers that his new sexy boss is into Salsa dancing so he decides to resurrect his interest as a way to get closer to her. It's a feel good film that shows that "Real men are good dancers".

What it's about: Nick Frost plays a guy who wants to impress the pretty new boss lady in the office with his own dancing skills when he discovers she likes Salsa dancing. The problem? He hasn't danced in over 20 years and has kind of lost his touch. That and the fact that the better-looking office sleeze also has is eye on the same girl.

What I thought about it: This dance-orientated British romcom is a nice movie to watch if you're craving listening to some Salsa music and are up for a bit of light-hearted fun. It's really well-paced, has a fantastic upbeat sound-track, is really well put togethed editing-wise, and has you rooting for the likeable main character all the way through. A little silly and crass in places, and I would have liked to have seen the main character to be a little more convincing as someone who was a serious dancer in his youth, but that didn't detract from my enjoyment of the movie too much. I also appreciated the little cameo from Nick Frost's partner in crime (or at least partner in many films) Simon Pegg!

Not really great, predictable and a bit boring (the parts with the horrible antagonist especially) but it gets 3 stars for the dancing, if the actors actually did this and it was not all doubles, it is quite remarkable.
