Format:Map
We have just come back from a driving tour of western Cuba and used this map to find our way around. The map itself is waterproof (you never know) and covers all the major (and most of the minor) roads very well. The only thing it doesn't tell you is how poor some of the roads are - but that's hardly the map's fault.
So why only 4 stars? Well we got comprehensively lost around Havana trying to locate the main autopiste. The main map proved to be of no help and even the more detailed map of Havana couldn't shed light on where we were heading. That said, the lack of road signs in the Havana area was the main culprit. Also the map only shows a small proportion of the gas stations, and even those that have been in place for many years are not shown.
I spent some time deliberating about which map to buy and I suspect that this is one of the better ones. Buy it.

I've purchased two maps for a two-week cycling trip from Havana to Santiago de Cuba. The Cuba: ITM.190 which this review covers, and Cuba (Globetrotter Travel Map).
The Cuba: ITM.190 map is fairly the best of the two for cycling. It is much more detailed on roads and small cities than the globetrotter map. Also, it comes already laminated, making it much more durable (well worth the extra bucks).
The Globetrotter map contains a more detailed overview of some towns, however these are also covered in Cuba (Lonely Planet Country Guides), which I will also bring.
I agree with the previous reviewer - this is possibly the best map out there. I would additionally consider Streetwise Cuba Map - Laminated Country Road Map of Cuba: Folding Pocket Size Travel Map (Streetwise (Streetwise Maps)) if Amazon would have it in stock!

The scale of this map is currently the best around, therefore more detail than any other map. Cuba is a large island and this scale (1:600,000) even though small, it's fit for purpose. It is also robust, waterproof, and with a small but good enough amount of information about Cuba.
