Mystifying carved skulls made of crystal have been appearing around the world in recent decades. Some are ancient, from Tibet and Central America, but there are modern ones too. Today's Mayans of Mexico, Nicaragua and Guatemala, who prophesy a new era starting in 2012, include the skulls in their ceremonies. This is the story of the author's quest to discover the secrets of the skulls, starting in a cave in Spain and progressing to Central America and China. It is a saga of sacred ceremonies, armed holdups, inner journeys, plane flights...and even weirdly cosmological stacks of tortillas. Patricia Mercier explains the T'zolk'in Maya Calendar and the traditions of the Maya people, and connects the skulls with our current global situation. She shows how the skulls can be used for healing and gaining insight, and how they transfer information to each other, operating as a network. We are also introduced to a new super-consciousness that the crystal skulls suggest is a key to the future - a rebirth of humanity when, with the help of the skulls, Homo sapiens could evolve into Homo spiritus.

About the Author

Patricia Mercier is a writer, visionary artist, crystal healer and shamanic healer, living in Spain. She has travelled widely in Central America. In 1995, she encountered her first crystal skull during a ceremony at Uxmal, Mexico, and since then she has been initiated by Mayan priests and elders, to become a teacher of the Mayan mysteries. This complements her training as a crystal healer and yoga teacher. At the invitation of the Mayan elder Hunbatz Men of the Itza Maya Tradition, she co-founded a Maya Mysteries School with her husband. The school is active in both Spain and the UK, and three of her previous five books, The Maya Shamans - Travellers in Time, The Maya End Times and The Chakra Bible, are used as teaching tools.

The book takes you on a fascinating journey through Spain, the Maya lands and China; through time and other dimensions. You travel alongside the author on her journey to discover the connection between the awakening of Crystal Skulls and the awakening of humanity itself; a journey which is full of spiritual insights,suspense, intrigue, and adventure. A great and thought provoking read.

This is a great travel book for those interested in that. If your intrested in crystal skulls this is a great story about the author's expierances with her skull and travels to south america. It dosen't contain any how to healings or meditations so if you want to try that you will have to try some of the other books out there.
