I knew nothing about Crystal Reports before getting this book, so this book had its work cut out getting me up to speed.
The content is laid out clearly, and most of the concepts are explained using easily created reports. The author's writing style is clear and there is no rambling.
It took me just over a week to go from zero knowledge to being able to create drill down reports using charts.
I learned a lot from this book and can recommend it to anyone looking to learn enough about Crystal Reports to produce pretty decent and complex reports, in a relatively short space of time

I bought this book to help at work when I started using Crystal Reports. It's good and shows you the basics of the software in the usual for Dummies style (pretty clear and sometimes funny). Am pleased I bought it, as it's also very good to dip in and out of when working on a custom report.
I am not an expert with computers or programming, but I do pick things up quite quickly. And this book really helped with Crystal reports, I now have a good solid grounding and am able to create the reports I need to.
