Battle For Atlantis
The final part of the Crystal Quest lives up to being a dramatic and unexpected climax! The hero James Lightwater is forced to undertake more leaps back and forward through time than ever before. It really has become a mad dash to get all the remaining zodiac crystals. Despite defeating Aztec warriors, the mythical Minotaur and foiling the gunpowder plot, the location of the last crystal comes as a total surprise. Only at the very end does he discover the true reason for going on the quest. Everything that can go wrong, seems to go wrong. He is tricked, hunted down and trapped, while his friends, family and allies are all captured or killed by the Dark Zodiac
At one point in the story it seems impossible for James to return to the present time period and stop the aliens from using the crystals to take over the world. The final twists are totally unexpected and succeed in pulling together many of the strands which have been threaded through all five books.
This story links nicely with " Battle for Atlantis...The secret mission of Jaxar agent of Atlantis " by David Johnson; which tells the story of who hid the crystals ten thousand years ago, for James to find in the present. It also reveals the real reason James was always destined to find them. Read it; it acts equally well as a prequel or a post quest explanation!
