4.0 out of 5 stars Not that bad! 23 Feb. 2011
Format:Paperback
I prefered this third volume of Crystal serie then the previous one (Killashandra), even if most of the readers didn't. It goes back to specifics of the cristal planet, deepens the understanding of the cristal digging univers.

I found the description of the mental state of Killa convicing and the last part of the book was a nice surprise.

Nethertheless, as a whole, the book, seems a little too "thin", lacks the secondery plots about cristal singers (or even perhaps the main plot!) and the narration seems erratic and somehow difficult to follow. Killashandra is attaching character and I'd have appreciated to know a lot more about her.

For the readers who will enjoy the interesting sci-fi univers itself as I had.

4.0 out of 5 stars Review 16 Feb. 2009
Format:Paperback
This is the third in the Crystal Singer series about Killshandra, and is a very satisfying conclusion to the series. If you liked the other two, you'll like this one even more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Happy to find 11 Jun. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Having read the other books, I was pleased to find a sequel. It was fun to discover what was happening to Killa, though a touch sad. Anne McCaffry always has good books. It would be really great to find out what she envisaged for the crystal singers with the changes being implemented. I wonder if she left any notes and if Todd would try another story line.

Wish there could have been more. Replaced my paperbacks that I had years ago and enjoyed them as much again. Every time I read them I seem to get more from the story.

None of these three books has been 'more of the same', each has been enthralling, a story in its own right but also the story of Killashandra's growth
