Crystal Malt is used to create beers with a golden colour and a toffee caramel flavour. It is a stalwart of English ales and bitters and is unsurpassed in it's ability to gently sweeten and balance the hoppiness of English ales. It can of course be mixed with the other malts to recreate your favourite beer or perhaps create your own secret recipe. Used in all sorts of Ales, Bitters, Stouts and Porters Crystal malt should make up no more than 20% of total malt content of your brew. This malt has a colour of between 120 and 140 EBCs and is supplied ready crushed.
