I bought this toy for my daughter who is 5 years old and was asking from Santa to have the "Diamond Castle", from the Barbie moovie. As that one was just a small very high priced toy i was looking for alternatives. When my daughter opened the box and started to realize how big was this one compared to the other one and that she could stay inside and play with her dolls or other toys she was really excited. We have the toy for a week now and she is inside the castle for a great amount of time every day. It is very light so you can momove it easily, very easy to build it and beautifull also. So what else can i say, it is really a very nice toy.

The castle frame is fairly straightforward to erect and the cover easy to fit. It is important to follow the plan as the castle is in two halves and they do vary slightly in size as one half slots inside the other for storage. It does take up rather a lot of room and is not the sort of toy that you would want to undo/erect on a daily basis. The castle is very pretty and cleverly made. The banqueting set and Princess dress are excellant added value items.

I was looking for something similar to a wendy house I used to have when I was little for my daughter, who is 3. I had seen the rose petal cottage and was toying with the idea of buying that when I came across the princess castle. Oh how she loves it! It's like a dream come true for her. Whilst it is indeed ued as a princess castle a lot of the time, it is also a shop, a hospital, a hiding place for quiet reading...you name it. Yes, it is large. We are fortunate enough to hava a family room with an alcove so that it can remain up all the time. One side is smaller thn the other so it can half in size on an evening (when it is also ued to 'store' a lot of the other toys left lying around!).
The castle comes with a lovely banquetting set (note, it does NOT include the stools and tables shown in a couple of the pictures) and a princess dress.
The larger half has an arched door and three turrets, the smaller half has a window and also some very cute tie back curtains. We have placed a blanket down as a rug to make it extra cosy.
All in all, excellent value at the special price we bought it at on amazon just before christmas and miles and miles of play value.
