Having enjoyed the previous games in the Crysis series I got my hands on this the day it came out. I have not been disappointed at all, Crysis is an excellent game. It picks up 34 years after Crysis 2 and is an all round better story and without spoiling any more of it, is better fleshed out and leaves you satisfied at the end.
The game play is very good, the Nano suit is awesome and if you play this game on anything other than normal you will be spending most of your time cloaked as this is not a game where you can really run and gun. The AI is smart and flanks you a lot. I usually play my shooters on hard difficulty, and Crysis 3 presents a challenge. The musical score is equally impressive and really gets you into the game. Big plus for the soundtrack on the disc too.
My one criticism of the game, however, is the length of the single player, its only 7 missions, although they themselves are long, Crysis 2 had about 15. it clocks in about 7-8 hours total, but to be fair I did feel the game was paced well.
I got Crysis 2 about 8 months after it was released, and there weren't many people online. Crysis 3 at the moment has a really active community and you can get into a game easily. I have to say, the multiplayer has so far been utterly brilliant, its just a lot of fun to play. The maps are well designed, good weapons and the nano suit makes it interesting. Plus you haven't got as many people hiding in a corner all game camping. Plus there's no online pass code which is a big plus.
It can be a bit laggy at times, you see the replay of when you are killed and you realise you are shooting at thin air, but not enough to ruin it.
All in Crysis 3 is a very good game, dosent quite top my favourite shooter this gen bulletstorm, but it is pretty epic. 9/10
