Product Description

From review: "CRYO-MAN is an interesting look at a future where robots and humans battle for survival in the aftermath of a great war. Niko’s adventures through this wasteland to recover his lost memories set the stage for an unusual look at life after an apocalypse. The world of CRYO-MAN is rich with detail and ripe for a series."

The Bourne Identity meets the Terminator in this thriller about a man who wakes from death to find himself in a new body and in a future he never could've imagined!

Nikolas Edwards has a lone memory: he follows his young son around their house, playing and laughing, as any normal father would with his boy. But Nikolas is very sick and the memory ends with his death, though not before he has his son make a very important phone call...

When Nikolas awakens next, he is no longer the man he used to be and no longer lives in the world he once knew. He has changed dramatically, more than he imagined a human possiby could. Cryonics has given him a second chance at life, but it has taken away nearly every memory he once knew, leaving only the final moment before his human death.

But the thought of his son remains, tethering him to a past he desperately wants to remember. Though the world is no longer controlled by humans, he sets off to learn about his family by any means necessary, even though what he's become makes him an enemy to all.

1.0 out of 5 stars Had so much potential 10 Sep 2014

I really enjoyed reading this book...until THE VERY END. Had I known this was Book 1 of a series I probably would not have bothered. Authors should realize that you do not create a serial by taking one long book and chopping it up into N pieces and then putting in a cliff-hanger to get the reader to read the next book in the series. This is exactly what this author did, and I've seen other authors do. I had promised myself I'd never read another book series...and then I got fooled by this one as the title fails to say "Book 1 in the series". The story actually reads very well and I enjoyed reading it until I found that the story just a cliff hanger. Good series do not depend on cliff hangers to get the reader to read the next book of the series. Instead they create characters interesting enough to make the reader look forward to reading the next book. Cliff hangers are OK for TV, but inappropriate for a book.

I would have given this book at least 4 stars (could use some editing) but cannot due to the above. Disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars An interesting premise. 1 Sep 2014

It has very interesting premise. As more sophistic robots continue to be developed the thought of what could happen if someone got control of an army of them and turned them against humans is very interesting if not frightening. The end does leave you hanging but that doesn't take away from the story.

I really enjoyed the story of Niko as he searches for his past. The ending is a real cliffhanger so if you enjoy that type of thing this book is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Story With A Good Base Idea 24 Sep 2013
By Amazon Customer - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
This is the first writing I've ever read from the Author so I can't compare it to his other works,
but after reading the first few episodes, I bought the first 3 books of his Comet Clement series.

About this Season: The book starts with an idea I had wanted to read about for sometimes.
Human and robot fused together and not in a Robocop revenge gore perspective, but more like a
desperate solution to a strange situation, to stay alive and still think and feel like a human being.
The story happens in the far future in a situation where robots overpowered humanity a long time ago.
They are existing in a military utopia, where their main goal is to eradicate any human resistance.
About the characters: The main character, Nikolas is lovable and easy to get emotionally involved with about
what will happen to him throughout his journey of finding his memories.
Beside him there are a few other characters who we learn to love or hate along the story.
Interesting thing is how a present day person - Nikolas - in the future realize how much human values has changed
for the worst and he still tries to convince people on the importance of his.
The characters all in all are well developed and believable.
The story is well written in every part and what I really like is that the main character is always present, no side
stories to get trough to get back to the interesting part.
I am really looking forward to read the next season.
