Bought this book to read on the plane! What a book. This story was shocking to the core! An absolute must read. Joe had such a horrendous start in life so much removed from my own upbringing. Read this book in a day as I could not put it down. Joe had such a fighting spirit and it is amazing that through all the beatings and unspeakable things to him he has turned into the man he has. Shed more than a few tears reading this. Was shocked at the lack of support and insight that social services appeared to have. A truly remarkable book and I cannot recommended it highly enough!

A truely amazing book written by a truley amazing man. Having been taken in by him and his family a couple of months ago when i needed help i can truly say that he is a remarkable man. Despite what he went through he shows so much love to his family and is always keen to help others in need. To anyone who has not read the book it is well worth a read...i would strongly recommend it. Thank you for everything you did for me. x

This book is must read for any teenager or adult (male or female) It is well written and a truely insprational story. The best book that I have read in a very long time.
