I recently purchased this bag to safely transport my new Nikon D7000. For my old camera I used a Golla shoulder bag, and whenever I would go on a day trip I would shove that in my back back. Not very practical, and not that safe. When I decided to buy a new camera, I looked at some other brands as well, like Lowepro. The problem with those bags is that they seem very bulky, even the smaller ones. Being a quite skinny girl, that would just look ridiculous.
The Crumpler Cupcake is bigger than I expected, but not too big. The bottom half is designed to store camera gear, I currently only use it for the body and lens attached, and one extra lens. It will easily fit two or three more lenses, and even a flash or battery etc. The top half has little pockets for memory cards, and has plenty of space for food and drink, a jacket or sweater or some extra camera stuff. Also, there is a special padded compartment for a 15" laptop, which slides right behind your other belongings, and is secured by velcro.
The colour is much nicer than on the picture, or on the promo clip Crumpler has on YouTube. I was a bit dissapointed they did not make this model in a nice navy blue or something, but I forgot all about that when I unpacked my bag. It is a bit darker than on the picture, and has a lovely (almost golden) glow.
I have nothing negative to say about the seller, CameraKing UK. I ordered this bag on the same day as the Nikon D7000, for the bag I chose the 3-5 day free delivery, for the camera the 1-2 day delivery (which is about 7 quid). The bag arrived a few hours before the camera (two days before the estimated delivery of the bag). It arrived in a ridiculously big box, which could have easily fitted eight of these bags.
