Sexy and intriguing...,

I bought this book as I have read evrything else of Suasn Lewis! Every one of her books has a hero, and a heroine...and usually a bad guy as well as a sense of mystery that you need to get to the bottom of before you can put the book down. This book, however, has an ending that is neither satisfying nor a happy one. The 'whodunnit' element does not work and Susan Lewis should go back to what she knows best. An interesting read nonetheless and a must for any Susan Lewis fan.

The second of the Susan Lewis novels I have read and I was more enticed than the first. This is a story of trust, betrayal, jealousy and love and had me hooked from the very first page. Susan Lewis is a genius and Cruel Venus is just superb...I only wish I knew whodunnit!!

I was recently on holiday without a book to read and a friend lent me hers..all curled up pages and creased spine, it was even discoloured!? But the reason for this, I later found out, was because it is absolutley brilliant! I am a classic 'chick flick' reader, but i have now found the buzz of reading a thriller (which is mixed with serious lust!!)The main characters are sensational, there is soo much betrayal, it is scarey! You may look at your nearest and dearest in a different light after reading 'cruel venus'!! I finished the book in two days and wanted more! so much so, I have just orderd six more Susan Lewis books!first class! Cannot wait for delivery!
