The front cover features Henry VIII commenting to a 'head' in a basket- 'That'll Teach you to make Lumpy Custard'!
The typical humour of Terry Deary that makes one look forward to every title and the books are SO difficult to put down!
Great for new history readers and a handy reference/revision for 'older' readers, this book covers a multitude of grotty kings and gruesome queens, from 'William the Conqueror' to 'Lizzie the Last'!
The last paragraph of the book:- 'The Royals are as useless as they ever were.....but the Brits seem to like them that way.'
