About the Author

Shaun McCarthy is a professional playwright for stage and radio. He teaches writing for performance at Oxford and Bristol universities. He has written many education titles, including study guides to Shakespeare and modern dramatists, creative writing programmes and literary biographies.

I'm currently in year 11 and when I was encouraged to find a Crucible book from my library I picked this one and took it home. It is a fantastic guide, with both sample passages for AQA and Edexcel, I'm taking my exam with AQA, and it has really helped to increase my knowledge of the book and to become better acquainted with the themes, methods and how to get the best results with written exam questions. The best book you can get.
