Wanted to upgrade 2Gb RAM on the new Acer 722 to the 4Gb,since using a SD card for Readyboost didn't seem to help. Seems to be a choice of 4GB DDR3 cards of the required specification, with not much information as top how they differ, even on Crucial's own website, so took a bit of a chance. Anyway, popped it in (the video on Youtube is very helpful in how to remove the bottom cover of the 722!), rebooted, F2 into the BIOS and there it was recognised. No problem and definite perfomance improvement.

Yep, its memory. DDR3 4Gb PC3 10600. Fitted into my sons netbook as it should, with no problems what's so ever. My son reports that the response times have improved in all areas. Note he was running with a 1Gb DDR3 card before the upgrade. It should also be noted (and yes we were aware) that Windows 7 Starter will only use 2Gb of the memory, but it sees the whole 4Gb. Buy a 2Gb card if you don't intend to upgrade your operating system form Windows 7 Starter. Was it worth doing the upagrde? Yes it was.

I bought a brand new Apple Mini Mac i7 direct from Apples website with the basic memory configuration of 4gb (2 x 2gb sticks). Then after looking at the support pages, found out which memory sticks I required, ordered these from Amazon.
The two memory sticks arrived well packed within 3 days, fitted in less that 5 minutes, I made sure I pushed them fully home as per the apple installation video. No issues , very , very easy. Fired up first time with no problems what's so ever. Very pleased.
So let's look at the maths, an extra £160 for the memory upgrade from Apple or less than £40 and five minutes of my time.
I know what I will do if I had to do it again or if someone asked me for advice, in this day of "less is more". The saving wins every time.
So easy and what a different it makes, the computer was good before the up grade but now it is lightning quick, I can fully recommend this upgrade if you need more memory for our Mini Mac.
Most impressed, thank you Amazon. Apple - your computers are excellent but your extra and upgrades need re pricing, you are losing out big style.

Perfect mate for Dell XPS Lx501
Went straight into the RAM slot, took 5mins to upgrade. Initially crashed a couple of time, and haven't seen a crash since. Worth the money.
