So far, so good... 2 Nov 2011
I own a Macbook Pro Early 2011 and after spending some hours to choose the best quality/price option, I have choosen this Memory Module Kit. So far, so good! It works nicely and smoothly for Macbook Pro 2011, and looks like a good choice for MBP 2011's owners.

Excellent 3 Nov 2011
I have used Crucial Memory in the past to upgrade other laptops and never have any problems. My current laptop is HP G62 which had 4GB memory. It was running slow as i do a lot of photo editing. To upgrade couldnt be easier, go to [...] and download the system scanner. The result tells you whats in your system now and how much upgrade is allowed, there is also a screen showing all the options you can buy. Its as easy as that. At the time of purchase there was only about 50p difference in price between Amazon and Crucial so I bought from Crucial, but Amazon is a couple of pounds cheaper now for the 2 x 4GB kit. (The review is about the product, not the supplier). My laptop now runs on 8GB and it flies. No freezing or slowing down. I would recommend Crucial memory to anyone thinking of upgrading .

I have an Acer Aspire 5745G laptop. Acer uses slightly non-standard memory (does not seem to run at 1.5v - even though this is what's listed on most memory DIMMs). After checking the Crucial Memory advisor tool (www.crucial.com/uk), I found Amazon did the best price for the maximum you can have in a laptop (8GB in this case).
This should work quite well for any Acer laptop with a Core i3/i5/i7 processor - should see a bit of a speed boost as it's quicker than the memory that came with the laptop too (make sure you don't mix and match with the old memory as you won't see any benefit) - Instructions on how to do the upgrade can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYNmZDkw7cY (but you only need to install the memory into 2 banks as this gives you the full 8gb (I used slot 1 and slot 3).
