What can I say about this deck but "wow"! This has to be one of my favourite decks of all time, and since purchasing it I've been seeing the card images in my mind a lot! I've done some readings with it and they are direct, speaking straight to my intuition, seeming to really bring forward my abilities. I think I'll use these cards a lot! I imagine this will be a deck some will fall head over heels with, others will loathe it (as can be seen from the different reviews here!) I love animals, art and mysticism, so they kind of speak to me on all of those levels at once! The only tiny criticism I have is the keywords - I tend to dislike decks with keywords, since there's usually quite a few which don't match my own meanings for the cards. In Crow's Magick Tarot I found that, whilst I agreed with the vast majority of them, one or two were just nowhere near my own associations for those particular cards, and so I decided to blot all of them out neatly with black permanent marker (I used one with a fine nib!), which was pretty easy given the black background on each card. This has produced an even better deck in my opinion, and one can hardly notice where I've blotted them out. For some the keywords may be a blessing though, since if you're not used to Tarot or you haven't developed your own keyword system yet, these ones may work just as well for you. I've ordered the book to go with the deck and look forward to reading what artist Londa Marks was trying to convey with the deck and about the deeper meaning of some of her symbolism. I must congratulate her particularly on having created what I think is the best Judgement card I've ever seen in any deck - it is absolutely stunning, compelling and completely captures the meaning of this card for me! I can see me enjoying this deck well into the future!

This is a unique perspective to tarot. The Crow's Magic, though in my opinion not as expressive as the Londa tarot, continues the artist's skill for each card to be its own work of art. I can envision the cards as door posters, some challenging any who step up to it. This deck is a bit more systematic in its expression, which is different from the previous, more expressive and intuitive Londa tarot. In this collection, Londa incorporates symbology, numerology, and pictology. Their incorporation is subtle, so unless the viewer understands the aspects in relation to the meaning of tarot, the true meaning of each card may be missed. I admit to experiencing this, so I suggest one look at the deeper meaning of each card before judging its surface value.

This was my first tarot deck that I purchased in which I found great to use during visualisations as the images are great and unfold in the minds eye rather easily. During using the deck I experienced clairvoyancy (a new one on me!), but the imagery was just as abstract as the cards! As a beginner reader I have now purchased a less abstract deck to study although I love the deck I was perhaps jumping the gun on my level for readings. Some insight into Shamanism in correlation to animal interpretations would perhaps take ones reading to a further level. Once I have gained a better understanding of tarot I will definetly return to using this deck its imagery is truly interesting.

Choosing a pack to work with is a pretty subjective experience. I found this deck a stark contrast to Londa's other tarot pack, as it is quite dark in colour and the emphasis is more on symbols than visual tableaux. I would agree that the images make great poster art, however, some people may find it too challenging to use as a working deck. I think it may be better suited for tarot meditations as the potential is there, especially if the animal depictions and symbology call out to you. Highlights and brickbats besides, it is a different tarot but not one for beginners.

The Best Tarot Deck Ever! But then I would say that, for I use Crow's energy as a reader and a healer. I have used the Crow's Magick Tarot since just after it's launch and bought it just to try out with no real expectation of it actually serving any real purpose as a serious Tarot deck. However, it came into it's own when I started using it for e-mail readings and it has grown on me. The Crow's Magick Tarot isn't of a traditional Tarot design. The two key words on each card imply a Crowley / Waite hybrid type deck in my opinion. That's what I like about it. This oracle card approach really does help make life easy, even for experienced readers. Once memorized, you can use the Crow's Magick key-wording system with any Tarot Deck. Plus, the plastic-faced cards themselves are very durable and can really take some punishment.
