5.0 out of 5 stars In Flanders Fields...the poppies grow..between the crosses...row on row 23 Sep 2013
By Ann Miles - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
Learn why the poppy is used on Memorial day from the world of John McCrae......When the soil was moved to bury the war dead, the poppy blooms. The poem that was written by this man is a tribute to the fallen soldier . The field of poppies that grows over their "dead remains" is a message from the heavens about the power of love.
All students should learn this poem...it is not just a poem for the senior citizens.....our children should understand the meaning of the poppy that is handed to them on Memorial Day by our retired soldiers. It is a day to remember all who gave their lives for our freedom to live in this great country. We must keep it great by respecting those who died keeping us safe.....

4.0 out of 5 stars Great condition 22 Sep 2013

Haven't read book yet, but wanted to pass along that I received the book in very good condition and buying 'used' is a great alternative to 'new' when it's available.
