When I first received my copy of this book, I let it sit for a few days. I was aware that it was the final volume of the Firebird trilogy, and I wanted to savor it for awhile. Then I began to take peeks at the book, and before I realized it I had read the entire thing. All I can say is, "Wow!"This was definitely one of the best books I've read in a long time. I love the characters of both Firebird and Brennen. They are utterly human, with human strengths and failings. I don't like books with one-dimensional characters who can do either no right or no wrong. Firebird and Brennen make their share of mistakes, but ultimately become stronger for them.
Although I know it's not likely to happen, I would love to see more stories in this universe!

I thought that Crown of Fire was an excellent conclusion to the Firebird trilogy. Firebird's struggle with pride was very well written. Several parts in the book were so intense that I had to read on to find out what was going to happen. The suprise ending made a fitting touch to these wonderful books.

Okay, I probably shouldn't be writing this review yet because I have not finished the book, but so far I have not been able to set this book down! Its just awesome! Just like the first 2 novels in this trilogy! I sincerely hope that Kathy Tyers keeps writing Christian Science Fiction because she does a fantastic job! The Firebird trilogy is not just the best Christian science fiction I have ever read, but the best Science Fiction and maybe the best novels I have ever read.
