Product Description

From the Back Cover

A Song of Love won her heart.
A Song of Darkness haunted her soul.
A Song in the Dance would seal her fate.

Seers had long foreseen an extraordinary destiny for Ellysetta Baristani. Already she had won the heart of the Fey King—the magnificent Rain, ever her ally, eternally her love. She had saved the offspring of the magical tairen and fought beside her legendary mate against the armies of Eld. But the most powerful—and dangerous—Verse of her Song had yet to be sung. As the final battle draws nigh and evil tightens its grip upon her soul—will Ellysetta secure the world for Light or plunge it into Darkness for all eternity? As she and Rain fight for each other, side by side, will they find a way to complete their truemate bond and defeat the evil High Mage of Eld before it's too late, or must they make the ultimate sacrifice to save their world?

About the Author

C. L. Wilson wrote her first story at age six, and though she took a number of long detours during her life, she never gave up her lifelong dream of being published. Many years, hundreds of false starts, and five completed novels later, she received "The Call" in October 2006 and sold her epic fantasy romance, Tairen Soul, at auction. Her debut novel spent two weeks on the USA Today bestseller list, and her subsequent novels have gone on to hit a variety of lists, including USA Today, New York Times, and Publishers Weekly.

When not writing, C. L. enjoys relaxing with her husband and three children in sunny Florida and daydreaming of a world where people exercise in their sleep and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream is a fat-burning food.

Some books just rob me of words to adequately describe what it did with me, CROWN OF CRYSTAL FLAME is such a book. C.L. Wilson gave me a conclusion where joy and sadness, love and hate, courage and angst, laughter and tears fuse in to an action filled story that gave me an unparalleled reading experience within the romance fantasy genre. CROWN OF CRYSTAL FLAME is by no means a novel you can read as a stand-alone since it is an end game story where the truemate bond between Elly and Rain needs to find completion or else..., and the battle against High Mage Vadim Maur enters the last stage to claim the final victor.

From the first word C.L. Wilson plunged me in to high risk chases and tension filled battles where fey powers and Celierian tenacity clashed with the dark strength of the mages. There is a very fine line between death and survival, defeat and victory, and I can guarantee you there will be moments of angst, tearful goodbye's and moments filled with utter relief as various characters make it through one ordeal or another. C.L. Wilson holds nothing back, the plot thickens to almost insurmountable heights with a rapid succession of unfolding events. It nailed me to the couch, every major and secondary story thread blended seamlessly together. I was completely absorbed in the story being told as to whether or not my most beloved characters would find peace, joy and love again.

The plotlines that were set-up in the former four books of this series and hadn't found a conclusion do so in CROWN OF CRYSTAL FLAME. The signature beautiful and lyrical writing style of C.L. Wilson encompassed me; it set me on the grim battlefields, it made me soar like a Tairen, weave magic along the fey warriors and allowed me to feel the range of emotions coursing through the characters.

An excelent final book to an excelent series. The story line was such that having picked the book up to read it, I was unable to put it down and read it write through. Rare for a book to captivate so intensley that I just had to write a review. This series of books is the first time I have read anything by C L Wilson but I will be on the look out for any book by him in the future, though The Fading Lands will be a hard act to follow.

I have read all the books in the series now; twice, a book has to have a particular quality for me to keep it and re-read. This is one of the best series I have ever read, I was captivated from the first page. I had to make sure with the subsequent titles, after reading this one, that I didn't start untill I knew I was able to complete the book, once started I couldn't put it down. C L WILSON is a rare writer with a wonderful imagination and the power to put that down on paper, she has magic! I hope to see more books from her in the future. I rate her with the best i.e. Terry Brooks, David Eddings, Anne McCaffery's Pern series. When you re-read them it is like revisiting 'old friends'.
I recommend this series to any science fiction reader, but you must read them in order, they are not stand alone books. ENJOY.

The crowning glory in the Fading Lands Quintet and it will keep you on tenterhooks throughout. This book finishes the series by answering all of the questions fully and yet still leaves you with some more. I only hope that she writes some more because these characters are too wonderful to leave behind.

A fantastic series that I will continue to re-read for a long, long time.

"How do I show that, I am not gone… but the essence of life’s everlasting song Why do they weep? Why do they cry? I’m alive in the wind and I am soaring high. I am sparkling light dancing on streams, a moment of warmth in the fays of sunbeams. The coolness of rain as it falls on your face, the whisper of leaves as wind rushes with haste."

This book is not worth the price. The whole series shouldn't have been more than 3 books. I wouldn't have bought the book but i wanted to know how the series would end.
My issues are:
For a couple who are so in love, it took till the last minute for them to bond!!
The killing of the mage fell flat!
The language throughout the series irritated me so much. I don't mind the odd word, but sentences!! come on!! Christine Feehan also has this irritating feature.
The reunion with the birth parents was non existent
The ending was rushed and we have no idea what happened to some key characters
It could have been a great series but something was lacking......Romance

If you enjoy rich, descriptive prose and highly defined characters with great emotional weight, this series is for you. I loved every one of these books and Crown of Crystal Flame is a fitting conclusion. Much darker than the previous books with all my favourite characters in dire jeopardy, I could not put this down until I found out how their situation was resolved. I was not disappointed. There was one little loose end. What happened to Melliandra? Or is this to be another book/series? Please!

This was the best book in the series by far - exciting, gripping and packed with action. All the questions are answered and subplots drawn to a close in this epic conclusion.
I won't reveal anything about this book - i don't want to risk spoiling it.
This has been one of the best books i have read in years and the series as a whole has been awesome. I grew to love so many of the characters and was completely absorbed in the world that Wilson created.
