Product Description

Product Description

After a highly successful comic book and two blockbuster films, The Crow is debuting as a TV series and Voyager will be publishing a series of original novels to accompany it.

The Eternal One… At our human limits, when we have gone as far as flesh and imagination can take us, we meet the Eternal One. The Crow. Immemorially old and inconsolable, he is there only for those who seek both revenge and love, and are willing to go all the way – and beyond.

William Blessing is obsessed with Edgar Allan Poe. Like Poe, he is a writer of dark fantasy. And, like Poe, he has powerful enemies. One of them pretends to be a friend, even as he plots to murder William and steal his wife. Blessing’s only hope is to learn the ‘truth’ about his friend. But this is the realm of the Crow, where the grave is a doorway to truth. William must walk through it to discover Poe’s final secret. Then, and only then, with the help of a dark-winged ‘Raven’, can he return to feed on the human carrion who raped his wife and slaughtered his soul.

From the Author

Like Poe? The Crow? Horror movies? This is for you.
If you had to ask me what sort of book this is, I'd say it's post-post-modern psych-action-horror. It's a strange stew of Edgar A. Poe, horror movies and literary themes using contemporary characters and held together by the basic story form used by THE CROW with Brandon Lee. The only recurring character from that movie here is The Crow. It's a story of love and revenge and Goths and academia and... Oh well, read it and tell me what you think!

This is the best Crow novel I have read. It has a good story line and is funny in parts. If you have not read a crow story before read this one first. David Bischoff is a great story teller and seems to carve the story in to your minds eye. Buy it now, you won't reget it

Very good book. Some things seem dorky at the beginning but then clear up towards the end of the story. A few interesting twists here and there. In the beginning it seems as though the author's trying too hard to get reader's attention using explicit gore descriptions instead of focusing more on other writing skills, which he does have. Over all though, it's a very good story.

I really enjoyed it it was a great read and i let a few of my mates read it and they thought the same. The film of the crow is my absolute favourite and in my opinion this is an unusual follow up in that it is almost as good as the origional. Read on with it its great fun and just a really good read you will see what i mean when you finish it!

Overall, Quoth is effective in carrying on the spirit of The Crow. A greater appreciation for Poe comes from reading this. Read more

Interesting combination of romantic lore and modern horror
First, let's get things straight. Before you pick up this book, go read James O'Barrs original comic book series. If you like that, then watch the movie. Read more

Maybe the best(or at least better)is yet to come...
In a word, average. The original by Jim O'Barr is still the best, with Chet Wiliamson's "City of Angels" novelization in second place. Read more

Edgar Allen Poe is spinning in his grave
This is, quite possibly the worst book I have ever read. Bischoff spins a tale in which the villians aren't villianous and you actually hate the protagonist. Read more
