5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent first book! 19 Feb 2013

A great read with plenty of action and suspense. Bricklin develops characters with depth and humanity and weaves a story that will keep you guessing. If you like action/adventure/spy writers like I do (Lee Child, Clive Cussler, Daniel Silva), you'll love this book and will hope that it won't be the last we'll see from Alan Bricklin.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVED it. 10 May 2013

I loved this book. I wish there was another book by this author- I would start reading it immediately. The author is apparently brilliant. Not just because he uses big words (thankfully the Kindle has the pop up dictionary- -I had to use it 11 times) but also because he notices an incredible array of details in life. I felt he had a PhD in psychology combined with an amazing insight into people's thoughts and motivations. He also has the mind to draw incredible word pictures- (I mean you could SEE it as a movie, in your head! ) Also, his insight into the espionage world made me want to write him and ask if he was in Intelligence. That combination, along with the romance, made me feel like I was on vacation, the week I read this book.
Parental Guidance suggested:Several detailed sex scenes made this inappropriate for my 12 year old son, who usually loves some of the other spy books (i.e. Clive Cussler) (for all who have kids who like spy books) but as for me, this book was like watching a great movie that I was sad to see end.

Bricklin manages in 300 pages to combine an exciting, sensual story that has all the aspects seen in our top mystery writers today. Full of twists and clues, daring exploits and beautifully constructed prose, war torn World War 2 Europe is exposed. The Atomic era is born.

This book is full of intrigue, deception, and vivily described action. It's also very realistic; you feel like you're watching a movie. Especially recommended if you're a fan of miltary history or action/adventure novels.

This is a well written action packed page turner by one of the newest talent to emerge in literature. The story reads in a smooth type of way. It is easy to understand and the story has your heart pumping from the beginning to end. Filled with a lot of action and suspense the author introduces us to characters in mod 1940's that are easy to identify with an characters that we will care about. There is alot of emotion and the pace is fast. I highly recommend this book.
