5.0 out of 5 stars Glé Bloody Mha!, 10 Mar 2008
By Darn Tootin (An Gaidhealteachd) - See all my reviews
A superb album from Scotland's most sublime, straight-down-the-line trad band. From old school Gaelic song and Scottish/Irish instrumental enthusiasts who find it perfectly to their liking, to young indi heads who liken Dáimh's arrangements to "acid trance", this album appeals to all.
Crossing Point finds the inherent and hitherto unrealized potential in traditional music played on acoustic instruments to be as powerful and dazzlingly dynamic as the best modern electrically-powered pop bands.
A must have for music lovers of all ages.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Stuff, 29 Dec 2007
We thoroughly enjoyed this album. It is a mixture of upbeat and slow, songs and instrumentals. Track 9 - Sealg A's Sugradh Nan Gleann was an excellent instrumental ballad.

If you enjoy Celtic music then you will most likely enjoy this offering from our local Scottish, west coast band.

My only suggestion to improve this album would be to perform a some songs in English: as an awfy lot 'o us don't have 'the Gaelic.' This would undoubtedly attract a wider audience and increase Daimh's popularity.
