Typical Joan Elliot, beautiful designs and every single design is begging to be stitched. Can't recommend highly enough.

I have tried quite a few of the designs - birthday cards for my mother and her partner (omitted the hair and turned the gardener into a bald man) and others I have started in the hope that a suitable recipient will come along - Love the Noah's Ark birth sampler, the Native American sayings and the woodland creatures. Also know people who would like the Chinese proverbs and there are other bits I would incorporate into a quilt. Lots of things that jump out at you and say "start me today". Also a range of projects to suit different skill levels, although projects which inspire are always easiest - the skill comes with practice, as long as you are doing you are learning.

This is a brilliant book with loads of charts for use. Includes all the info required to produce the work such as thread colour numbers. Also lots of suggestions on uses for your cross stitch work when finished. If you like Joan Elliott illustrations you will love the book.
