Sometimes I have this vision of myself as creating delicious meals for potluck suppers and suchlike, with other people there scoffing my food and asking for the recipe.....
Anyway, to feed this fantasy, I thought this would be a good option as this Crock-pot has an insulated bag, locking lid, removeable power supply and solid carry handles so it is indeed transportable.
It is extremely attractive and sturdy in appearance, with a stainless steel finish which is very easy to keep clean. It would be nice if it had a light to show that it's on, but ah well.
It is pretty large, so you will need to have sufficient workspace (or a groovy shelf unit
MULTI PURPOSE 4 tier chrome wire steel shelving unit SUITABLE FOR KITCHEN HOME OFFICE [Commercial High Quality Grade] to store it conveniently.
I have only used it a couple of times so far, and have been happy with the results. I cooked a joint of pork in it on Sunday and it was meltingly delicious - after ten hours! Even my husband, who normally complains that joints or meat or too tough, was happy. I do have two other slow cookers, but they are too small for cooking a joint of meat or a whole chicken, so this was another reason I went for this larger model.
I think this slow cooker has features you can't get elsewhere, and has a stylish appearance and appears top quality, so I think it's worth the extra money. A good investment for cooks who like to take it slow, like me!
