Crochet beginnings 26 Nov 2003
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover
This is an exellent book for those learning to crochet and those more experienced. As the name suggest it is all sweaters a couple being a little dated now but most are just as fashionable today. A good guide through from very basic designs to using different colours, bobbles and diamonds, circles and stripes, chevrons and even celtic cables. So if you want to learn crochet and create a lovely garment at the same time I would recomend this book

Crochet history 16 April 2009

Format:Paperback
Although old and some patterns a bit dated,
other patterns are timeless.
Glad I bought this for my collection as it has
some useful reference material.

Some of the 22 year old patterns are a bit dated, but the whole book is still pretty inspiring if you've just got the crochet bug. There is a short section on the basics, explanations of different yarns, clear and concise pattern instructions, and with a little imagination and some colour updates, the patterns are still useful. I have no problem recommending this book to any newbies out there.
