I bought this book on the strenghth of the other reviews. I think this book is great, lots of lovely flower motifs, spirals, a full alphabet, triangles, and lots more. There is also a projects section at the back which gives you some ideas to use your motifs. There are really clear instructions with a picture chart too if you find that easier to follow.
Most of all I bought it because all my crochet books on motifs, are from the 1970's and it is great to have a brand spanking, thoroughly modern new crochet book!!

I purchased this book because although it only had one review it was a very good review. I am now adding to the list - this is a fabulous book and I am delighted I bought it. There are so many varied patterns motifs and projects that I am finding it difficult to decide which one to do first.

This is a lovely crochet book. The instructions are clear and concise, and many patterns are supplied with the standard text pattern descriptions and their graphical representations - great for those that prefer to follow patterns this way.
Each piece is shown completed in a good quality colour photo and there is a nice selection of projects at the back. I'd describe myself as an intermediate crocheter and have done 'squares' of almost every kind, but the picture style ones (with fish, sheep etc,) have taken my ideas of crochet in a whole new direction. The motifs are lovely, and you can use them idividually, or as bigger projects. Many of them work great on hats and cushions (either crocheted in or sewn on top) and the crochet alphabet is really nice too. This book has surpassed my expections and I love it.
