Containing more than 200 swatch designs in her signature style, this is a must-have manual for beginning and experienced stitchers alike. Each chapter also includes stunning garments, such as a classic Chanel cropped jacket in woven mesh, a lacy shawl with leaf embellishments, and a 1920s cloche cap covered in crocheted blossoms. Every one has a special individuality that transcends here today, gone tomorrow trends, so crocheters will enjoy these for a long time.

If you like heavy over weight books on crochet motifs this one might be for you!
In my opinion BIG is not better in this case.
Some of the photos show the crochted pieces larger than life with, in some cases slightly less than sharp photography - perhaps because they have been blown up so large for the book?
The worst complaint I have is that although Sasha resides in the UK and makes mention of several people on the ROWAN TEAM she has given the American terminology for the crochet!!!
I can only think that she is pitching to the American market with this book otherwise it makes no sense?

If you are looking for a good book on crochet motifs with sharp photography you would do well with the one by Melody Griffith - you can even balance it on your lap!

Crochet 14 Aug 2009
Format:Hardcover
This is a lovely book but is not great for beginners. Kagan unnecessarily swaps the instructions around which is frustrating. But if you've been crocheting for a long time and understand adjustable rings then this is the book for you! A lot of thought has gone into the designs and I like looking at them. In that way it is like a coffee book because it is *big*. The starfish is my favourite design.

I think this book is very good because it has diagrams ( which I prefer to written instructions) ... And I enjoy going through it and looking at the great photos in it!
