A very sturdy hardback book. Although there are only 15 patterns in this book it does give quite detailed instructions on the stitches and the details of the hats so would be useful for an inexperienced crocheter.
For myself I would have preferred more hat patterns and less instructions but that is just my personal opinion.
The book is a mix of beanies and floppy brimmed hats. I will use the beanie and the earflap hats but give the brimmed hats a miss.
There are 7 patterns that I will probably use in the book so that is about average. I usually find that I like 50% of the contents of any crochet books that I buy.
