...yes, there are some very amusing lines here and there which would make a good title for a review. Unfortunately, I have forgotten them partly because it all gets a bit serious and sententious. Because it is economical, well-acted and enlightened and looks so modern for its time, its very worthwhile watching. You can see the influence on the nouvelle vague. But ultimately, despite all this, I've yet to see a 'Fuller' which is an unadulterated 'classic' - perhaps someone can enlighten me. He seems important but not 'great'. Is that fair?

Great for ones collection 16 Aug 2014

I love movies from the 40's and 50's. I remember this movie from years ago and had forgotten the name. Thanks to Amazon, I put the names of 2 actors and found it. Am so glad, so I ordered it and watched it that night I received. Still love this movie as I remembered. James Shigeta, who recently passed away and Glen Corbett (Route 66 fame), were wonderful. The plot and story line could have been written as of today.
