About the Author

Stephen Jones studied law at the University of Durham. After qualifying as a barrister, he studied criminology at Cambridge. He has taught law at Bristol since 1974. At present he teaches criminology, criminal law and the law of evidence and his main research interests are in criminology. Formerly Vice-Chair of the Board of Visitors at HM Remand Centre, Pucklechurch, he is now a Board member at HM Prison Eastwood Park.

This is without a doubt my BIBLE for Crim studies! this book is brilliant, truly fantasic!! its easy to read there is no unneccessary info in it, it goes through every aspect of crim i have studied and has trulky enhanced my understand! i love it that much i directed all my friends on my course to but it too~!!! I strongly recommend any crim student buy this bargain book, it will help you with any aspects if crim!

I'm studying criminology at undergrad and this is the best book I've read for it. Forget Tim Newburn, Stephen Jones says everything you need to hear and more in a more compact and interesting book.
