THE PERFECT CRIME,
By Finbar the looney "Charcots" (London uk) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Crime of Suspense (Audio CD)
The Klaus Schulz ingustry continues unabated this is number 85 in the series, and the standard is still as hugh as Everest, this apparently, was ussued in 2000.and reissued in 2006,Whereas later Schulze albums featured Lisa Gerrard this features another Australian Singer Julia Messenger(on tracks 1 and 3) and Thomas Kagermann(Flutes, violin and Vocals)
Good old 4 on the floor(24.00)is perhaps the most typical of the Old Klaus SChulze ebbing and flowing like a vast ocean. Track two J.E.M.(17.25) is more upbeat and even features Yodelling! this seguues into "Overchill(29.24)which again features xocals but at a more sonorous level, but with a thudding bass beat, beautiful stuff indeed.agaim this developes over a long period, with waves of sound cascading down into an etherial mix somewhat akin to those used on last years "Farscape "album, and Julia and Lisa do sound similar, paricularly in the slower parts. "Ruins"(4.04) is more or less a work in progress as is "Castles"(4.15) all things considered,a fine album.

The Crime of Suspense,
By Henry E. Schneider - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: The Crime of Suspense (Audio CD)
This CD reissue is the second disc from the 10-CD boxed set Contemporary Works I. Since the mid-90s Klaus had been packing as much music as possible on to each release. Fortunately, The Crime of Suspense did have room for about 9 minutes of music that Klaus filled with two short pieces, "Ruins" and "Castles". These two tracks were originally released on a promo CD made for Contemporary Works I that was only given to those people who had pre-ordered the set. If you are looking to buy any Klaus Schulze CDs, definitely invest in these reissues. They are far superior to the originals and earlier reissues.
