Product Description

Product Description

Designed to mirror the "Blackstone's Police Manuals", this Q&A series combines the expertise of the Manuals' creators with that of experienced question writers. Following the subject areas in the same sequence as the Manuals, and drawing upon the relevant text, this series sets out an extensive range of professionally developed questions designed to test even the best prepared student or practitioner. The multiple choice questions are designed to reinforce your knowledge and understanding, to highlight any gaps or weaknesses in that knowledge and understanding, and to help focus your revision of the relevant topics. This edition focuses on the area of crime and covers key topics including: the elements of criminal offences; incomplete offences and criminal attempts; crimes of dishonesty such as theft, burglary, and deception; homicide and its special defences; sexual offences and other offences against the person; offences involving property; the misuse of controlled drugs; and general defences. The book sits alongside the "Blackstone's Police Manuals", which are fully endorsed by National Police Training and the Police Examinations Board and are recommended texts for probationers and promotion examinations candidates.

He recently took a career break to pursue a business interest in the company he formed together with Ian Johnson, who is also a serving police officer.
