BOXED, 6 PIECE SET in the traditional VOLCANIC (ORANGE)

CAST IRON ITEMS:-

1x 20 cm NON STICK OMELETTE/FRYING PAN
1x 23 cm OVAL CASSEROLE
1x 26 cm ROUND GRILLIT

'Favoured by professional chefs, cast iron cookware simply obtains the best cooking results from all heat sources, including induction.
Even heat retention allows cooking efficiency at low or medium temperatures, therefore conserving energy and keeping fuel bills lower.
Suitable for any hob-top or pop it in the oven.
Easy to use and clean by hand or pop it in the dishwasher.
With a little care, these cast iron dishes last for years.'

There has been some minor criticism re the following, and the company answers back:-
'Why do Le Creuset GRILLS (SKILLETS) not have a non-stick cooking surface?
Because it isn't necessary. A black vitreous enamel surface can offer all the advantages of a non-stick surface but will not damage, peel or deteriorate during high temperature grilling.
No non-stick surface can withstand the repeated high surface temperatures that grilling requires. Therefore a non-stick surface will deteriorate quickly and peel off.
Additionally, a non-stick surface will not produce the same seared finish to the food.
Cooked food colours are usually paler and the food often has less flavour as a result.'

However, if this isn't your style of cooking, it is worth looking at the other set combinations before investing, hence the 4 star rating on this particular selection!

Le Creuset CAST IRON items have a LIFETIME guarantee except the NON-STICK items which have 10 years.
