1.4 litre size - this sturdy Le Creuset Stoneware 'GRAND' Tea/Coffee pot in GRANITE GREY holds up to 6 cups of your favourite beverage!

Easy to clean and washes up a treat every time, by hand, or pop it in the dishwasher.

Available in a variety of exciting colours or in a 'classic teapot shape', in the smaller 1 litre size/4 cups.

Pretty enough to take to the table or store on a kitchen work surface - check out the stoneware jugs, bowls and utensil jar, too - no need to hide everything away in cupboards and drawers!

It's not made of stone, in fact if it was I'd have deducted a point as it would be unfeasibly heavy.
However it is a perfectly good tea pot.
I am no ceramics expert, but I think that this is really made from clay and water.
Le creuset are not the only company to fall into this confusion over "stone", I purchased a pair of wrangler "stone" washed jeans, when I recieved them they were completely clean with no trace of dust or rubble; I wrote to wrangler pointing out that they had confused "stone" with "water".
as for the band "stone roses" don't get me started....
