Good thickness with protection for the wrist area.

This is THE oven mit of choice. Totally heat proof, comfortable, machine washable and a built in magnet to keep it out of harm's way. If you need to pick up things with two hands and are considering a joined pair, forget it - buy 2 of these.

I've had some really crappy oven gloves and for many years used a tea towel to move hot trays etc. These gloves are really good , no problems holding a casserole thats been in a 200 degree oven for as long as I need. Even have a handy magnet so they attach to my fridge. I dont know if they've changed the design since some of these other reviews but I had none of the heat problems they have had. I would recommend these as a comfortable well made glove that does what it is meant to.

I found the oven gloves disappointing - they are only heat proof for around ten seconds with hot trays, casseroles etc. I have gone back to using my trusty tea towel.
