Product Description

It features a unique dual-chamber construction with a semi-open back, tuning the sound to extend the frequency response in a similar fashion to a vented speaker cabinet. Output from the rear of the driver is channelled through the main chamber and a further sub-chamber, with controlled output through a mesh panel at the back of each earpiece. Specially optimised dampers are positioned strategically throughout, further tuning the driver's output. Most in-ear headphones are sealed at the rear and like all closed-back designs they can suffer from internal reflections that colour the sound. The C510E's dual-chamber, strategically damped, semi-open back construction serves to extend the bass response, minimise internal reflections and tune the sound to ensure optimal balance throughout a wide frequency range: deep, rich bass; smooth, expressive midrange; crisp, detailed treble. Dual Chamber Structure Applying the multi-tuning Acoustic technology, the dual chamber structure provides a well balanced sound of clear high range, lively mid range and rich detail and powerful bass. Confident, simple and solid design Classy aluminum highline housing Metal mesh to emphasize high performance Comfortable Half In-Ear Design The C510E also sports Cresyn's half in-ear design. Typical in-ear (ear canal) headphones deliver high levels of noise isolation, discrete style, excellent portability and a secure fit, but some people find them uncomfortable to wear in comparison to on-ear designs, particularly over long periods. Cresyn's ingenious half in-ear concept is intended to give the best of both worlds - a compact design that fits snugly just outside the ear canal, intruding less within the ear and ensuring high levels of comfort during even the lengthiest of listening sessions.

Was a bit dubious about buying these as there isn't much info out there about them but I found a good review on Golden Ears and they seemed to be outperforming far more expensive units (e.g. SONY MDR-EX300LP). I bit the bullet as they fitted what I was looking for which specifically was a decent low cost high impedance in ear set of phones. High impedance was very important as I shall explain. I just recently upgraded my phone to a Samsung Galaxy S4, their flagship smartphone. It turns out that this particular model, the I9505 Qualcomm quadcore is known for having audio crackling at moderate volumes especially with bass notes with low impedance headphones (anything less than 16 ohms). People with very expensive earphones were finding they couldn't listen to any music without significant distortion.

I had this issue with a (luckily cheap) set of Skullcandy Titans which were rated at 16 ohms. Well now with my new Cresyn 510E's not only can I play at absolutely maximum volume distortion free but they sound much much better! The bass is absolutely superb, deep and accurate. The mids are a little muddy but pretty natural and it's a similar story with the treble. That said the dynamics are excellent and the soundstage is pretty big with good stereo seperation. Honestly I didn't think the Skullcandys were that bad for cheap units but compared to these they sound awful. As a comparison I have some HD202 Sennheisers headphones on my PC and these out perform those as well in most departments except for the slightly less clear midrange.

I was worried about the fit and the sound isolation as they are half in ear types but they are actually much better than my previous fully in ear Titans. I tried the Comply memory(?

A company I've never heard of, with broken english on the instructions. But, they are amazing for the money spent!

Brilliant quality with a good broad range. A nice selection of changeable plugs for the old Ear holes (no matter how big your ears are). The foam plugs work brilliantly for my Drumming as they act as part external noise cancellation as well as a secure and snug fit, much like my underpants.

5.0 out of 5 stars good value earphones 26 July 2013

Bought for my son's birthday and he loves them. He had a pair of Soundmagic's before and yet again for earphone one earbud went which is really dissapointing because he bought them himself. He rates these higher and reckons the sound is better. ice angled earbud fit and he uses them with Ipad and Iphone with much superior sound to the bog standard Apple ones. These came in a fantastic display boc complete with numerous earbuds to make sure of the right fit. Also comes with a small cloth bag for protecting if required but i havent seen him use it yet.Overall great value for money and good step up for audio improvement.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good - representing great value 16 Nov 2013

These earphones are a great find. The sound across all ranges is crisp and clear. No levels are drowned out and the blend is superb. The bass response is also very good for an earphone, but it isn't overdone as many bass-heavy earphones are these days. The bass here is truer.

My only issue with these earphones that nobody else has seemed to highlight is the leakage. They do seem to leak moderately. They are not in the same league as Apple earphones, for example, which are the bane of the commuter's existence. But the leakage is noticeable, to the point where you feel self-conscious listening to music at the volumes you would like to in quiet places, like a train for example. As mentioned, the leakage isn't too severe and don't let it put you off these great earphones, just be aware.

So only 4 stars for now and I look forward to the next edition of these generously priced earphones where they sort the leakage issue out.

The sound simply amazing!
Clear, broad range and deep bass.
I'm truly impressed, not sure if I ever heard a better sound even in bigger headphones.

They sounded great when they worked but unfortunately they broke within a week, with one headphone not working. I was probably just unlucky and I would try another pair.
