This book is full of interesting suggestions for something special. Some recipies are very interesting and you can find inspiring ideas for dinner parties. I think there are more sweet recipies rather than savoury ones and there are also "yummy" pictures.
I have to say that I prefer Lou Pappas' book on crêpes though.

New creations and old classics, but all yummy!! 11 Jun 2004
By Matiqua - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
I bought this book in a time when I was looking for crêpes recipes and I have to admit that at the beginning I was a bit disappointed, because there are not many proper savoury crêpes recipes, so I kind of put it to one side and ignored it for a while. (I had bought "Crêpes" by Lou Pappas, and was experimenting with that; really worth having, by the way, if you like crepes).
Then, while leafing through my cookbooks, I found a recipe for a wrap I really wanted to try. It was "Sesame Wrap with Honey and Tamarind Chicken and Oriental Salad": it was amazing! We all loved it, I just used white cabbage instead of Chinese Leaf which I didn't have at hand. From that night we made the dish several times, and we still love it. And then experimented with a lot of other recipes: the cracked pepper wraps with hot pork and apples were to lick your fingers, the Courgette (zucchini), Feta and Sun-Dried Tomato Pancakes were absolutely to die for and the lemon ricotta pancakes with raspberry sauce were yummy! Well, I could go on forever...
As you might have gathered I was disappointed at first, because I was focusing on crêpes alone and this book covers a wider range of subjects: crêpes, pancakes, speciality pancakes, like poffertjes, wraps, rolls...

There are a lot of gorgeous pictures, almost one for every recipe, a basic introduction on equipment and pantry items and basic recipes for crêpes, wraps and so on with interesting variations. The recipes are clearly laid out and easy to follow. There's one for every page, usually with the matching picture on the opposite page.
Some of the recipes are well known classics, such as galette de Bretagne (delicious), but many others are new creations that will get you to the kitchen straight away! Highly recommended.
