4.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining sequel 9 Mar 2011
By Colin Smith "keep on running" TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
This sequel to the classic "Creature From The Black Lagoon", sees the creature captured and held captive in a marine world in Florida. The creature is then shackled before various tests are performed by Professor Clete Ferguson, (John Agar) and Graduate Helen Dobson, (played by the lovely Lori Nelson) with the objective of using the creature as a major tourist attraction, naturally things don't go according to plan.

Lori Nelson immediately becomes the object of the creature's affections, there is also the occasional romantic interlude involving Nelson and Agar, but thankfully these scenes never manage to blow the movie off course.
Amongst the supporting cast there's a blink and you'll miss him, brief appearance from a young Clint Eastwood on his film debut. Although this movie may lack the atmosphere that helped to make the original a classic, this is still a cheerfully entertaining 50's monster flick.

This Final Cut release boasts good picture and sound quality, no extras or subtitles.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love look at the two of us 13 July 2013
By bernie VINE VOICE
It is the bane of all great creatures to seek beautiful women in white bathing suits. Especially if you think you can retaliate those fools that try to capture you. Just be sure that they do not ask you to STICK around.

Screen play by Harry Essex, Dr. Carl Maia (Antonio Moreno) finds what appears to be a fossil of an undiscovered creature in the Amazon. Soon we will realize that the creature may not be as extinct as the doctor assumed. On a return expedition we find one of the scientists is a beautiful girl Kay Lawrence (Julia Adam), "You guessed it" she is in a white bathing suit. The creature never stood a chance.

In the movie "The Seven Year Itch" (1955) Marilyn Monroe feels sorry for the creature "He just craved a little affection"

You cannot go wrong with a Jack Arnold directed film. And Richard Carlson "It Came From Outer Space" (1953), is a good good-guy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great box set of classic monster flicks! 26 Feb 2010
Included in this box set are the three Creature movies, on two discs. It's a nice trilogy. The original "Creature from the Black Lagoon" is probably the only one which can be rated as a "classic". But the two sequels "Revenge of the Creature" and "The Creature walks among us" are also a lot of fun, although not as good as the original. The extras are fun aswell.

5.0 out of 5 stars Creature feature 28 July 2011
By Kevski
One of the first sequels. There is something very endearing about this prehistoric relic and the action and story line make for a movie that does not disappoint, a movie that is over too soon it seems. John Agar is excellent, Lori Nelson very easy on the eye and Clint Eastwood enjoyably sheepish but the real star is that gillman. I give the original four stars and this movie four stars also. It would be very very good to have the Creature Walks Among Us, to complete the set - on region 2, naturally. There are a lot of SciFi movies I would buy IMMEDIATELY if they were available on region two, now how do I go about....
