About the Author
Jonathan Emmett was born in Leicestershire in 1965, the son of a rig fitter and a primary school teacher. It was while he was at college, studying to be an architect, that he first developed his skills as a writer and illustrator. Jonathan now lives in Nottingham with his wife Rachel and his two children Max and Laura. His hobbies include furniture design and maintenance of his website. Jonathan has had numerous works published including 'A Turtle in the Toilet' (Hodder Books, 2002), 'Bringing Down the Moon' (Walker Books, 2001), 'Dinosaurs After Dark' (Collins, 2001) and 'Fox's New Coat' (Penguin Books, 2000).

My daughter was given this for her first birthday and absolutely loves it. It's a solid book but the pop-outs are fragile in the hands of a small child and should be viewed under supervision.
The colours are bright and the expressions on the animal faces are just priceless!
