I love this story! The dialogue is so natural and fun. It answers questions many african americans have wondered about. The main characters are like typical urban kids. I recommend it for all multicultural classes. The illustrations are excellent. It's a fun read for kids, especially those who are deprived of the pleasure of interacting with those of other cultures. Makes a great black history project. Pick it up! You won't be dis-appointed!!

Zalikas review of an excellent book in the world! 23 Nov 2005

"Creativity" by John Steptoe is an example of how some people are different than others. My favorite part is when Hector and Charles meet for the first time. I think John Steptoe could have made the story better if he could have had Hector speak a language that most people never heard of before because it could have made the story more interesting. I highly recommend this book.

"Creativity" by John Steptoe.v This story is about two boys whose ancestors are from the same place but Hector is Puerto Rican. My favorite part of the story was when Charles stood up for Hector when everybody else was laughing at his shoes. I think the story would be better if John Steptoe put more about how AAL is special. I do think you should read this story because this story tells you that being different is good not bad.

Have you ever read a book called "Creativity"? I had fun reading "Creativity". I like when Charles walked Hector home. Because in this story Charles did not won't his friend to look crazy. The author could have improved the book "Creativity" by making the picture better. I would recommend this book to my brother, my mom, and my dad.
