I ordered this with hisitation following mixed reviews on this very site, but decided upon it having researched it further on techie review sites and the like.
Out the box: Battery, Good quality headphones (though I know of people who they just dont stay in the ear for), CD w/ software, carry case, usb dock and instruction booklet. No mains charger.
Smaller than I expected, very snazzy blue backlight looks cool in the dark. Screen is clear, not huge but big enough. Touch pad is well laid out. I have Black version. 10/10
Touchpad works superbly, never used one before but it was second nature within 2 minutes of use. Arranging playlists via the computer was a sinch. I preferred to use it like a removable hard disk and just do drag n drop transferring of music, it recommends you use software but it takes longer that way. All tracks sort themselves out alphabetically. Sleep/Alarm/Clock/Date etc all very easy to set. All the play options you could need. 10/10
Headphones provided are decent enough for most people, although if you're on the tube/transport a lot you might want to invest in some noise proof ones (the ones which block out external noise) so you dont deafen yourself. Bass is excellent and it goes VERY loud (i only need to listen on volume 15 out of 30 even on the train)
Doesn't have neck/wrist string which was a bit annoying, but headphone cable long enough to have in your trouser pockets. Not having a mains charger is quite annoying, what if i'm staying somewhere without a PC? Can buy one at extra cost but would have expected that as standard. 7/10
Sound quality is great, it's easy to use, nice to look at. Only gripe is needing pc to charge it. 9/10
