This would be more useful to a quilter than an embroiderer. It has some interesting ideas, but I may not find a use for them in my work in embroidery.

I always like to try different techniques, and this title caught my eye. It does involve some measuring and calculating, but the effects are worth the effort!
Contains some good photographs to refer to as a starting point for further experiments.

I would say that with some practice, you could produce some really interesting textural pieces of your own!

Creative Tucks and Textures 9 Aug. 2006
By Lindsay M. Woodside - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
One of the best books I've read lately. My quilting group F_O_Quilting Frenzy on Yahoo Groups is anxiously waiting to hear how the patterns work so we can include it in our swaps. Ms Rayment has other books as well that are very explicit and easy to follow.

If you follow the instructions you can make beautiful things happen. Her illustrations are great and it is easy to follow. I am anxious to get started on another wall hanging.
