I love this book. The techniques are well thought out (and set out) and the layout - pictures, fonts etc. - is stunning. Creative Spinning is easy to read but it contains a wealth of ideas to stretch and inform your spinning. I shall be doing a lot of experimenting in the near future. Buy it, you won't regret it!

This is certainly a beautiful book, the images (photographs) are stunning, the inspiration from nature is very effective and it is a real pleasure for the eye. So for that only it is worth getting. I was looking for something slightly more technical on the spinning side of things, for instance I would have liked more info about different types of carders etc. There is some basic information on various types of wool, what spinning and what combing is, and differentiating the long draw spinning from worsted spinning though, but I would not recommend this book if you want more detailed technical and beginners' information, because the explanations are not always straightforward, especially if you are a starter...

I absolutely loved the layout, colours, style etc of this book. A wonderful gift for a spinner friend. My grumble (which is not the authors' fault, I do understand) is the errors in the item named Crocus.
'Falkland' is not a breed of sheep, it is a country of origin. And the Green Sheep is our own farm logo, not applicable to all Falkland Islands wool!! Falkland wool as a whole should not be in the shortwool and down sections, unless you count the meat breeds here... it should be in Medium and fine... OK will shut up now but urge you to buy this book anyway!
