Creative's Sound Blaster X-Fi Go! brings incredible gaming audio to any computer, anywhere! Designed just like a USB stick it plugs into a PC to bring you incredible X-Fi headphone surround and maximum realism, thanks to its EAX Advanced HD support. Ideal for LAN parties, it supports hundreds of titles under Windows XP and Vista - and even fits on your key ring for maximum portability! The Sound Blaster X-Fi Go! is the fast and easy upgrade to Xtreme Fidelity.

X-Fi Go! is packed full of features
The X-Fi Go is packed with features to enhance
audio and comes with IGB of storage

Perfect for music and movies too
Make all your music sound better with Xtreme Fidelity audio technology which restores the detail and clarity to compressed music files like MP3s. Most downloadable music and movies are compressed, making downloads fast, and storage and portability convenient. However, the quality and fullness of these songs and soundtracks are diminished - resulting in flat and lifeless audio. The X-Fi Crystalizer technology restores the detail and vibrancy to your compressed music and movies. All the highs and lows are intelligently enhanced, ensuring you hear everything in crystal clear clarity.

Realistic gameplay
Experience realistic sound effects and 3D surround that make you feel like you're in the game itself. Over 400 existing games use Creative EAX® ADVANCED HD™ sound effects to provide better gaming sound.

Creative ALchemy
Creative ALchemy restores X-Fi enhanced surround sound effects for great gaming. It provides multi-channel audio for legacy game titles running on Windows Vista™. Vista deals with audio in a different way to XP, and as a result certain legacy game titles, that use EAX or DirectSound3D (DS3D), can result in stereo output without any effects. Creative ALchemy is a powerful tool that restores the audio for a DirectSound3D game running on Windows Vista to its former glory - in full surround sound with hardware accelerated audio mixing, sampling rate conversion and EAX effects.

Personalised gaming on the go
The 1GB1 flash memory lets you transport your custom gaming profiles, plug-ins, add-ons or any other files easily. Don't lose that important file! Read/write protection is also incorporated to prevent your files from being accidentally deleted.

Exclusive Bonus Software for Download
Creative WaveStudio (available through online download) provides convenient and easy audio editing, applying special effects and audio clean-up function for recorded music files, lectures and podcasts. Creative Karaoke Player (available through online download) with LRC format support, allows users to sing along with their favorite songs using Pitch Shifter function and Reverb effect.

1 1GB=1,000,000,000 bytes. Available capacity will be less. Reported capacity will vary.

    Very effective 17 July 2009
I bought this to pump music through my hi fi as I was shocked at the poor quality of the sound coming from my new laptop, having been used to a desktop with a dedicated sound card. The instrument separation is very good and the sound is quite bright, not what you would call a very warm sound, so whether you think it's great or not is a matter of persoal taste. However, it's a huge improvement on the onboard laptop sound and it's been performing perfectly having been plugged into one of my usb ports since I bought it a couple of months ago. Doesn't have a graphic equaliser which is a pity. At least I couldn't find one.
    Recommended.

I bought this to improve upon the poor sound quality from my Compaq mini netbook. Have had the device for all of 15 minutes and it has in my opinion already justified the cost. The sound is CD quality through both headphones (Sennheiser HD 465 headphones) and through stereo amplifier (bass and treble at neutral), where before the sound was flat and dull sounding. Haven't yet tried the virtual surround sound in a game, but the test was promising.

All drivers installed easily from the inbuilt memory, software interface pretty self explanatory.

This soundcard will improve the sound of most laptops. Buyers should be aware that the only input is mono only. Why Creative could not have provided a stereo input is beyond me. Read more
