5.0 out of 5 stars Better than expected. 20 April 2005
This is my second MP3 player; the first one was bought through ebay, the spec sounded good but the performance was poor; 4 hour battery life, headphones packed up within two weeks and the jog button failed after one week!
This one has proved to be far superior, and easily worth the extra 20 quid or so.
    The size is 65mmx35mmx12mm.
The package came with an flexible arm band, a plastic holder with a belt clip, line-in cable, usb cable, software disc and multi language manual and 1 x AAA Battery.
Operation is easy, after loading the software, you can either use the supplied media manager/player or simply drag and drop either your MP3 or WMA files.(Or any other type if you want to use it as a portable data device.)
There is an easy to follow menu system; under the music option you can select normal play, shuffle once, shuffle folder. The player remembers the last track you played and starts playback from there. You can also select from 5 EQ settings, classical, pop, jazz, custom or normal.
The Radio function I found surprisingly good. I found 12 stations with generally good sound from the best eight. You can also use it as a voice recorder and you can even record from any line-in source with instant MP3 encoding.
Battery life is also very respectable, I am getting around 14 hours from a re-chargable AAA.
The headphones are the expected in-ear type, which I find comfortable and secure.
Last but not least the sound quality is in my opinion first class.
Learn from my experience; leave the cheap ones alone, this one is so much better for little extra outlay.

4.0 out of 5 stars broke within four months 22 May 2005
    By A Customer
I bought the Creative MuVo Micro N200 256MB and i thought it was great at first. It is when it works. It holds loads of songs, is small and compact and even has a built in microphone. But it was only a few months before the click wheel stoped working. Then gradually more and more buttons stopped working - forward, back, stop, volume up/down. Then it wouldn't even switch on its crap...and it was bloody expensive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely happy! 15 May 2005

    Verified Purchase
My creative MuVo Micro N200 arrived yesterday, and I am extremely happy with my purchase. I read the online reviews before I bought and was influenced by them.As I wanted this item for travelling and particularly long plane journeys, the small size is important.
I found it very quick to download my music and managed 50 tracks, which is quite enough for me.It is very easy to change the music as and when wanted, as I found yesterday when I decided on different tracks after downloading once. The only problem at the moment is that I cannot find a way to stop the 'shuffling' of tracks. There seems to be a way on the player, but it does not seem to work!! The instructions are limited to 13 very small pages with no indication how to stop the shuffling!
Older generation take note........this is not just an item for the young - I am female and due to retire this year!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what you'd expect from Creative 11 May 2005
    By A Customer
Easily one of the best solid state memory MP3 players going. Forget the iPod; you don't even need a huge capacity, as Creative bundle some excellent software, which literally shrinks entire albums to negligible filesizes.
Sound quality is superb, as ever, although the otherwise fantastic earphones are a little larger and heavier than regular ones - they had a tendency to fall out of my ears.
Looks-wise, and in my opinion, the player is "cuter" and much more stylish than the iPod.
I'm afraid Apple will start to receive rude replies to their marketing emails now - Creative are clearly the wheat in this field.

1.0 out of 5 stars Buy the Zen Nano instead! 6 Jan 2006
I bought the MuVo N2000 in July and was initially very happy with it. Great sound quality, easy drag-and-drop loading of music files etc. However, the unit soon started to cause me problems, initially refusing to play increasing numbers of tracks and finally switching itself off for no apparent reason.
Between August and December I exchanged countless emails with the Creative Labs (CLE) helpdesk who were helpful but painfully slow (taking 24 hrs to respond each time). I was advised on several occasions to download and install the latest firmware but this only solved the problems for a short time. Eventually CLE sent me a replacement but this unit suffered from exactly the same problems.
Finally in December I asked CLE to refund me the purchase price. At this point they offered to replace my 256mb MuVo N200 with a 512mb Zen Nano which appears to be the same unit with a new name but without the problems. It’s now January and I have my Zen Nano and I am extremely pleased with it.
My advice to anyone considering this unit is to buy the Zen Nano instead. If you’re not convinced have a look at the MuVo N200 Forum section on the Creative Labs web site and you’ll see that many other people have experienced the same problems.
