Good for the size 28 Dec 2005
By A Customer
For the size this thing is great. It's small enough to go anywhere.

It sounds pretty good - in fact at first the sound is amazing because it's such a small unit. It is, though, a bit of a thin sound. Still, I don't know how it could be better at this size.

A more serious problem is the distortion at high volumes. It's easily solved - turn it down a bit - but it seems to show poor design.

Overall, if you want portable amplifier/speakers for your digital audio player, this is pretty good. I'd recommend listening to some others, though, before you go out and buy it.

Surprise Package 10 Nov 2005
By A Customer
When this unit arrives at your door (and I highly recommend it does), you'll be surprised at how small this speaker set is. Once you take it out of the packaging, you'll see it is a solidly built, sleek unit with simply laid out buttons controlling the volume, power and 'wide stereo effect'.

Simply plug the supplied jack into the headphone socket of your MP3 Player and you're ready to go.

The sound produced is sharp, clear and the wide stero effect leaves you wondering exactly how this little unit can achieve it.

Although bass is slightly dissapointing, what can you expect from something this small, at this price with only 2 speakers doing all the work?

Overall, it's a great product and I'll certainly be using it a lot. Highly recommended

These really are a superb little pair of speakers. I have had various "budget" travel speakers before, but soon got tired of the poor sound quality and distortion at anything other than a whisper-like volume. There is no such trouble with these speakers.

I listen to Rock/Alt type stuff and the delivery with these speakers is excellent, with distortion only if you overload the volume on your MP3 and turn up the speakers to the max.

I use these a lot when I travel for work and end up stuck alone in some god-awful hotel. With these it is a cinch to fill the room with really decent sounding music.

The folding mechanism that turns off the power is a clever little touch which means that the power can never be on when you have put them away.

I am struggling to think of anything negative to say............perhaps they are a little on the heavy side, but I am sure that is what allows them to develop a decent sound.

Buy these and I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Very portable product with a long battery life. (about 35ish hours) Good sound at the low to middle range. Suffers with the quality and the bass end at high volumes. Read more

Great portable speaker system
Very well built and the fold-away speaker fronts give confidence when travelling. The sound is good and perfectly reasonable considering the size/price of the unit. Read more
