These are a well made set of head/neck phones. The cable enters the left earpiece only (they only go on one way round - obviously) and has a microphone mute and volume control on a small switch unit that clips to your shirt. The mike boom is a little shorter than I expected but can be readily adjusted, and then stays in place. There is no 'reach' adjustment - the neck band holds the earpieces at a fixed distance from the back of your neck - if your ears are sited freakishly well-forward (or backwards) you'll not only want to have long hair to cover them, but you may not be able to get these HS300's to fit comfortably. The neck band is lightly sprung, and they stay in place well. The mike can be swung well out of the way if you're listening to music. Sound quality for Skype-like internet usage is excellent - clear as a bell. Music is very slightly disappointing with a limited amount of hiss during lulls in quiet pieces. Heavy metal fans, or those of you indulging in noisy and violent FPS's will never notice this. For the £££ these are a good investment. Highly recommended.

I totally agree with other reviewers. Excellent piece of kit and very good value too. The treble is just too good compared with other mikes.
I also found a novel way of using it: for a more natural (but less private) conversation on Skype I wear the set around my neck, using only the mike (close to my mouth). To activate the normal speakers I unplug the headphones jack and leave just the mike in. The excellent noise cancelling properties of the mike mean that there is no feedback or any other interference from the speakers whatsoever.

I didnt want to spend a lot on headphones, and I heard these were great for their price. I can tell you, i am not dissapointed. You can crank the volume up as loud as your ears can handle, with no impact on sound quality.
Just as importantly, they are extremely comfy, and you forget you have them on most of the time.
You want a headset without spending big money? Buy this item now.

If your using these for prolonged periods of time (2-3 hours+) i suggest wrapping something soft like tissue around the part of the plastic that is on your ears. I did this with my last pair and i didnt even notice i was wearing them (and i use them 4-5+ hours a day) The headset also lasted me 14 months before the mic stopped working so for this price you cant really go wrong.

Also, there great for people with big ears (like me) as they dont try to squash your ear like sets with big pads do!
